First off, don’t you LOVE her name!?! It just suits her so well!

I photographed Piper’s little brother under a two years ago and I was so happy when they brought their daughter back to be photographed! Don’t think I’ve ever seen siblings look so different though!

It was such a pleasure to visit with everyone again and I just so love seeing the newborns I photograph all “growed” up as little people. Sooooo very cool!

This morning I had the pleasure of photographing Miss Ava. And look at that face!! Can you even stand it?!? I haven’t had a newborn for what feels like forever so it was so nice to get back to it this morning. Ava started out as a very light sleeper and pretty much maintained that the whole session through. But while most babies wake up immediately if posed while in such a light sleep, Ava let me go ahead and do whatever I wanted!

Soooo… we had some fun with Ava!

I had the absolute honor of photographing dear little Grace the other morning. Grace is a total blessing to this family… and she has been anticipated and patiently waited for, for a long while.

She’s loved and it’s very clear just by the look on her mama’s face… pure pride right there. It’s just amazing to watch. She is going to be cherished the rest of her life and isn’t that so awesome?!

I had an amazing time with you both G! Thank you so much for bringing your little girl over and I can’t wait to see you all again soon!

Meet Smith! I photographed his mommy’s maternity and his big sister as a newborn two years ago and had such a nice time with both sessions! That’s why I was so happy when Smith’s mommy was the first to respond to my casting call I put out last weekend. I got a new prop (and had a few new poses) I wanted to try out!

So here we go… my brand new prop! Thank you to my mother and father in law for thinking of me and finding this amazing vintage pram for me! I’ve been on the hunt for over a year now and I’m so happy to add it to my collection!! Next up… take it outside to my field and have some fun out there. Come on Mr. Sun… I need you for that one!!

I received an email from Laura, back a month or so ago. She informed me that her and her hubby were expecting and asked if I could photograph the baby when she was born. Well I was absolutely over the moon for them. I’ve worked with these two before and I just can’t tell you how special it was for me to be photographing their gorgeous little girl Eva.

This little girl truly is such a blessing. It made my day to be able to capture her for these two great people! Thank you for coming out L and J. It was wonderful to see you both again!

This morning sweet Ava came over to see me. What a little doll she was! And her mommy was up for anything so I just played and played!

I photographed little Ava’s cousin about 8 months ago… it’s so nice when I get to photograph family members. There’s just such a nice comfort level.

So I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again! It’s just so much fun to photograph old friends. It’s such a nice way to have a session… reminiscing on old times, catching up on new ones. So when S and J called me to do their baby’s photos a while back, I was super excited. I went to high school with both of them and was looking forward to hearing all about how life is treating them! See, theirs is a love story… like a true love story… like one out of a storybook. Their story of reconnection and lifelong adoration is totally inspiring and makes you believe in soul mates.

It was such a lovely morning… even though our sweet, sweet subject would not sleep for anything we did. All the stops were pulled out and he wasn’t having any of it. But isn’t he just THE cutest little thing with those big dark eyes?!?! He did show up sleeping… and here’s the proof!!

Today I had the pleasure of photographing the sweetest little girl! She was such a dream and slept just so well for us. Anais is only 7 days old and is the perfect age for newborn photography. Anything over about 14 days, and baby become a little more resistant to posing and a little more annoyed at me bugging them when they’re trying to sleep!

Anais’ big sister Isla also came by for a few shots at the end of the session and it was so lovely to meet her and have a little play! I think Isla will be singing “Round and Round the Garden” for a few days now… sorry N and J!

I’ve said it before, but I truly mean it! When my clients come to me a second, third and even fourth time, I take it as a massive compliment!! It literally makes me giddy! I also absolutely LOVE watching these families grow… it’s one of the best parts of my job. <3

So meet this little armful of sweetness! I photographed her big brother Graydon as a newborn, and then again as a one year old and it was so nice to see them all again. Miss V was such an angel… once she was sleeping, she was out! LOVE those kinds of babies…. who am I kidding, I love ALL kinds of babies!!

I had just the nicest session this morning. There’s nothing better than having a lovely time when your photographing, and having a lovely time while mom’s nursing. We visited and chatted and discussed babies… oh yes, and we discussed football! I HEART football… especially Canadian Football!!

And little Mason… oh little sweet Mason. I just fell in love with his sweet little soul. He was just a dream to work with but boy was this kiddo hungry!! I don’t think I’ve seen a little guy eat as much as he did… gonna be a big boy, this one!! (Well, just look at his hands and feet and you’ll know that!!).

I don’t know if any of you remember Mr. Briggs from about a year and a half ago? I photographed him and his family when he was just a few days old. It turned out to be one of my fave sessions of all time because it included this image which I absolutely LOVE:

Well Mr. Briggs has grown a litte since I’ve seen him last… he’s a big boy now and has a new little brother! Meet Mr. Ryker! It’s just the best to watch families grow and photograph it as they go. I just can’t believe that it was over 19 months ago that I took that first shot of Briggs in his Grandpa’s hands. It was so great to see you all again L family!!

Today I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Miss Abigail. She was a total DREAM and slept the entire time! I heart sleepy babies.

Usually I suggest to parents that the newborn session might not be the best time to get sibling shots, just because we like to fuss with baby as little as possible to keep him/her in a good mood. And by the end of the session, little babes are usually done with me and my camera!! But Miss Abigail’s big sisters were so lucky cause not only did her grandma drive them out to my studio at the end of the session, but Abigail decided to sleep so nicely for the photo too!

Thank you to all the ladies today! I had such a nice morning with all of you and can’t wait to see you again!

This little guy slept through all the set changes and all the posing that we did… just a little champ! I think he has a career in modeling ahead of him!

I honestly had the hardest time picking a few faves, because I totally love the whole session!
