First off, don’t you LOVE her name!?! It just suits her so well!

I photographed Piper’s little brother under a two years ago and I was so happy when they brought their daughter back to be photographed! Don’t think I’ve ever seen siblings look so different though!

It was such a pleasure to visit with everyone again and I just so love seeing the newborns I photograph all “growed” up as little people. Sooooo very cool!

This morning I had the pleasure of photographing Miss Ava. And look at that face!! Can you even stand it?!? I haven’t had a newborn for what feels like forever so it was so nice to get back to it this morning. Ava started out as a very light sleeper and pretty much maintained that the whole session through. But while most babies wake up immediately if posed while in such a light sleep, Ava let me go ahead and do whatever I wanted!

Soooo… we had some fun with Ava!

I had the absolute honor of photographing dear little Grace the other morning. Grace is a total blessing to this family… and she has been anticipated and patiently waited for, for a long while.

She’s loved and it’s very clear just by the look on her mama’s face… pure pride right there. It’s just amazing to watch. She is going to be cherished the rest of her life and isn’t that so awesome?!

I had an amazing time with you both G! Thank you so much for bringing your little girl over and I can’t wait to see you all again soon!

Meet Smith! I photographed his mommy’s maternity and his big sister as a newborn two years ago and had such a nice time with both sessions! That’s why I was so happy when Smith’s mommy was the first to respond to my casting call I put out last weekend. I got a new prop (and had a few new poses) I wanted to try out!

So here we go… my brand new prop! Thank you to my mother and father in law for thinking of me and finding this amazing vintage pram for me! I’ve been on the hunt for over a year now and I’m so happy to add it to my collection!! Next up… take it outside to my field and have some fun out there. Come on Mr. Sun… I need you for that one!!

I received an email from Laura, back a month or so ago. She informed me that her and her hubby were expecting and asked if I could photograph the baby when she was born. Well I was absolutely over the moon for them. I’ve worked with these two before and I just can’t tell you how special it was for me to be photographing their gorgeous little girl Eva.

This little girl truly is such a blessing. It made my day to be able to capture her for these two great people! Thank you for coming out L and J. It was wonderful to see you both again!

Well the blog has been quiet this past week and it’s because I headed on a family vacation with my hubby and kiddos. Actually, apart from camping, this is the first family vacation we’ve ever had!! We headed down to Disneyland for my daughter Ashleigh’s 6th birthday and we had a BLAST! I don’t know who’s eyes were wider… the kids’ or mine!!

So I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again! It’s just so much fun to photograph old friends. It’s such a nice way to have a session… reminiscing on old times, catching up on new ones. So when S and J called me to do their baby’s photos a while back, I was super excited. I went to high school with both of them and was looking forward to hearing all about how life is treating them! See, theirs is a love story… like a true love story… like one out of a storybook. Their story of reconnection and lifelong adoration is totally inspiring and makes you believe in soul mates.

It was such a lovely morning… even though our sweet, sweet subject would not sleep for anything we did. All the stops were pulled out and he wasn’t having any of it. But isn’t he just THE cutest little thing with those big dark eyes?!?! He did show up sleeping… and here’s the proof!!

This morning Mr. Tyce came to see me for his 6 month session. Doing this job, I certainly find out very quickly that the world (especially our little corner) is actually quite small. I am always photographing clients who I have previously known or have known their siblings or something along those lines… all in plain coincidence!

Well little Tyce’s mommy was a support worker in my Ashleigh’s preschool class almost two years ago now but of course we didn’t realize it until she walked through the door and we recognized each other immediately!

It was so awesome to photograph Tyce… he was such a smiley little guy and an absolute dream to work with. (And how much do I LOVE his name?!?!?). Anyways, enough with the gab and on to the photos!

Ps. I MUST MUST MUST thank my dear friend Dana for giving me my new favorite prop! This high chair was tucked away in a corner in her home and I fell instantly in LOVE. Thank you D!

Well I woke up this morning thinking this day was going to be a really good day…. a really, really good day. And guess what?! It was! Cause I got to meet Carter… and photograph him. And he was just the sweetest little model. He’s the first boy I’ve had in the last 6 newborn sessions! Crazy! Out of my 25 some odd newborn sessions I’ve had this year, 17 have been girls!!

Oh but the little boys! I have a soft spot in my heart for little baby boys… and Carter was no different… just look at this face. Wouldn’t you too?!?

I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Riley this morning. Her mommy came to me for her maternity photos not too long ago and it was so nice to see the baby that was waiting to come see our world.

Of course her big sister Molly is just an absolute dream to work with and the comments that come out of her mouth are just soooo sweet. She’s just a little angel!

Today I had the pleasure of photographing the sweetest little girl! She was such a dream and slept just so well for us. Anais is only 7 days old and is the perfect age for newborn photography. Anything over about 14 days, and baby become a little more resistant to posing and a little more annoyed at me bugging them when they’re trying to sleep!

Anais’ big sister Isla also came by for a few shots at the end of the session and it was so lovely to meet her and have a little play! I think Isla will be singing “Round and Round the Garden” for a few days now… sorry N and J!

Meet Mr. Jackson! This lucky little boy has a mama that loves him very very much!! She created a MASSIVE drive to win votes for her little guy’s nursery and won the Let Me Decorate your Nursery contest here on the blog. With 493 votes, Jackson’s mommy got a LOT of people to vote!! And it worked!!

We decided to do the session ASAP as Jackson is on the verge of crawling any day. And for those of you that don’t know, it’s best to get your little girly or guy in the studio at about 6 months before they start crawling but after they start sitting. So Jackson was perfect and ready to go!!

He was a little unsure of me to say the least, but we were still able to catch a few smiles… and ADORABLE smiles they were… here’s Jackson!

Meet Emma and Ava!! These two sweet little girls are the first of a run of twin sessions I have coming up over the next few months…. something was in the water 9 months ago because these little twinkies are EVERYWHERE! It’s so cute how you can get a good idea of their personalities within such a short time! Ava slept the whole time and let me pose her in any position I liked, anywhere I liked. Emma, the smaller of the two, was feisty and a little more particular about how she was posed.

(Ok, now I hope I got the names right… I could tell them apart immediately, but I kept having trouble remembering which one was named what! LOL)

Thank you so much to K and G for coming in today! It was such a lovely morning and I absolutely LOVED getting in some snuggle time with your gorgeous girls!!

I had such a fun maternity session today! M and K came in to see me and we shot a few photos before baby comes! M is just a total natural in front of the camera. She’s absolutely stunning and looks amazing at 33 weeks pregnant! We got so many amazing shots that I had the toughest time picking just a few for the sneak peek!

I can’t wait to see you guys again in a month’s time! I have a feeling this baby’s going to be gorgeous!
