Well the blog has been quiet this past week and it’s because I headed on a family vacation with my hubby and kiddos. Actually, apart from camping, this is the first family vacation we’ve ever had!! We headed down to Disneyland for my daughter Ashleigh’s 6th birthday and we had a BLAST! I don’t know who’s eyes were wider… the kids’ or mine!! ;)

More on the blog about that later!

So, today I got welcomed home by Mr. Ronin! What a little sweetie he was!! He was such a good boy and posed so nice for me! And check out the last image… look at that face!!!!! Such personality! ha ha!

This is sweet Emma. She’s one of those babies that you fall in love with as soon as you see her. Between the gorgeous hair, the amazing eye lashes and those chubby cheeks… I was smitten! ;)  And she was SUCH a good girl! She slept through almost the entire thing but even when she did wake up, she didn’t make a peep. We just gave her a little feed, and back off to lala land she went. And when she was awake… she gave adorable little faces like this!! What a dream!

Let me introduce you to sweet little Jaayda! I had the absolute pleasure of photographing her this morning and she was just so wonderful to me! She slept almost the entire time and was as lovely in front of the camera as her mommy (you may remember her maternity session!!).Thank you D family for having me over today! What a great way to spend the morning!!

Jaayda only woke for the shots with her mommy and daddy which I thinks is great! I got some great eye contact and it worked perfectly! Daddy wasn’t so sure about having Jaayda’s diaper off for so long and worried that she may relieve herself on them. So you can imagine how hilarious it was when mom went to pass little Jaayda off to Daddy for his daddy/daughter shots and she pooped on mommy, mid-pass off! I grabbed a towel and ran to mom and Dad ran the complete opposite direction yelling “Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!” over and over!!! She missed him by milli-seconds! hahah!! It was the funniest scene I’ve witnessed in a while!

All joking aside though, these two are absolutely in love with their little girl…. can’t you just feel it?!

Tyce | Baby Photography, Langley BC | Jillian Kirby

This morning Mr. Tyce came to see me for his 6 month session. Doing this job, I certainly find out very quickly that the world (especially our little corner) is actually quite small. I am always photographing clients who I have previously known or have known their siblings or something along those lines… all in plain coincidence!

Well little Tyce’s mommy was a support worker in my Ashleigh’s preschool class almost two years ago now but of course we didn’t realize it until she walked through the door and we recognized each other immediately!

It was so awesome to photograph Tyce… he was such a smiley little guy and an absolute dream to work with. (And how much do I LOVE his name?!?!?). Anyways, enough with the gab and on to the photos!

Ps. I MUST MUST MUST thank my dear friend Dana for giving me my new favorite prop! This high chair was tucked away in a corner in her home and I fell instantly in LOVE. Thank you D!

Well I woke up this morning thinking this day was going to be a really good day…. a really, really good day. And guess what?! It was! Cause I got to meet Carter… and photograph him. And he was just the sweetest little model. He’s the first boy I’ve had in the last 6 newborn sessions! Crazy! Out of my 25 some odd newborn sessions I’ve had this year, 17 have been girls!!

Oh but the little boys! I have a soft spot in my heart for little baby boys… and Carter was no different… just look at this face. Wouldn’t you too?!?
