One-on-One Mentoring | Newborn Photography | Jillian Kirby

I am so excited to start 2011 with a one-on-one mentoring program! I have had a crazy amount of inquiries from all over the world for one-on-one mentoring which until now, I didn’t offer. But you know, it’s definitely more to my teaching style. I am relaxed and go with the flow when I teach (and when I photograph) and I think teaching to only a few at a time is much more conducive to that style.

The program will include a full day of instruction in my Langley, BC studio to include newborn posing, lighting techniques, composition, prop choice and soothing and calming techniques. We will also go over editing processes, business policies and will finish off the day with a portfolio review.

And while I have your attention, let me introduce you to little Selena! At 4 weeks old, I will be honest and say I was a little nervous about how this session would go. Generally my little ones come in between 5 and 9 days and anything over two weeks can be tricky and huge practice in patience. But Selena was the perfect model! She slept through it all and was absolutely delightful! To the F family, it was so lovely to meet you!
