Earth Hour – March 27th at 8:30pm | Langley, BC | Jillian Kirby

How many of you have heard of Earth Hour?! It started back in 2007 in Australia when the whole country shut off their lights for one hour in a huge sustainability stance. It’s totally caught on and now the world participates. Well this year, we are asked to shut off our lights for one tiny hour at 8:30pm tomorrow, March 27th. I think it’s worth it… I think our earth is worth it and I think our kids are worth it.

I see so many new lives come through my studio each year and nothing makes me more anxious than thinking about what condition this earth will be in for them, or their kids. Ted, my amazing hubby, is so good. He’s a recycling fanatic! But I think even if we all took one small step, it would help. Even if we all chose one thing that we didn’t do before, it would aid our earth in being amazing for our grandkids.

I’m going to start turning my computers off every night and unplugging my small appliances when they’re not in use. Seems small right? But I just don’t do it… and it could make a difference.

So let’s do it folks… pull out those candles and…. RESPECT YOUR MOTHER EARTH!
