I joked with the B family that their adorable little Olivia was actually two months old and they just didn’t tell me! This little angel was the single most alert and aware 7 day old I have ever met (and I’ve met a LOT of newborns!!). Of course, it kind of goes along with the streak I’ve got going this year so far… alert, beautiful, AWAKE little girls! And it wasn’t for a lack of trying… 3.5 hours on Friday and 2 hours this morning of trying to get this little girl to get her to close her eyes long enough to get one shot for momma. She wasn’t having any of it and I pulled out ALL the tricks… this one’s way too smart for that stuff though!
Combine that with her smiling when her daddy came in to view and holding her head up completely on her own while on her tummy and I swear… this little girl is at least 4 months old! ha ha!
No, we didn’t get those curly, sleepy newborn poses but just look at how gorgeous she is with her eyes open!! As mom said, Grandma has been begging for opened eyed shots since this little one was born, so she’ll be pleased as punch!
